Eating Your Own Words

Don't you hate it when you forget all of the lies you have told people? It can be difficult to keep everything straight when a situation has been occurring for almost a year.

Today on Carroll Bryant's Looking Glass Blog, he practically begged us to post evidence of our claims that he never sent books out to the list of bloggers he tried to name and shame over the summer last year.

We get it, Carroll. Back when all of this began, it must have been so hard to keep your stories straight when you were spamming every blog that made commentary of your behavior. So here is an interesting comment made by Carroll on The Runaway Pen's post, The Strange Case of Carroll Bryant:

We don't know how much clearer you could have made it, Carroll. You didn't send out books to these bloggers. Let's not forget that most of the bloggers you named never even heard of you before you made The List. We also fully realize your head is going to spin around three times after seeing this and we are just going to count the minutes until your next novella full of excuses rolls onto your blog. We guess it is possible, but not likely, that you did send them your book, which brings us to our next point.

When reviewers/bloggers request books for review from publishers and the publishers send them a book, the publishers know there is a chance that the book will not be reviewed. Instead of making an immature list of bloggers that break their "promise" of reviewing the title, they just don't send them any more books. We are sure that in-house, the publishers may have a private list of people who do this sort of thing, but it is unprofessional and bad for business to name those people outside of their circle. We hope you see where we are going with this.

We also think it is incredibly immature to post a list of bloggers who supposedly declined to review  your books or interview you because of one person, Jude. That's some middle-school drama-llama stupidity. For someone who is heading toward 50 years old, you should know better. Vindictiveness is an ugly color and you don't wear it well, Carroll.

As for not accepting a comment on our blog, we are not going to post comments by people who are so childish that they have to make claims or question a persons marriage and sex life. Your readers have plenty of space to act like a 12 year old school girl; especially when the comment refers to people who we do not know and are not part of this blog. We guess that is the way your readership behaves, full of people whose insults are like this:

We guess like-minded people do find each other. What else can we say? Misery loves company.

EDIT- For the Carroll/troll that keeps coming here and leaving comments. Yes, we do realize that he claims he sent books, even though his first sentence states he never sends books. Our main point here was to show that the specific bloggers he named never got books from him. None of the bloggers he named even knew he was. It's kind of hard to send books to people you never met or heard of before. We would like to see screen shots of Carroll emailing these bloggers about his books and them agreeing to review and or interview, and posts of his interactions with him. That would prove that Carroll did indeed have a deal with these bloggers.

We won't hold our breath.
